Join the Program for Iranian & Persianate Studies for a teach-in that asks: What might humanistic scholarship offer during a time of US imperial expansion, heightened Islamophobia and environmental catastrophe in Southwest Asia?
Organized by core faculty member Roshanak Kheshti, the event will feature Minoo Moallem (Director of Iranian & Persianate Studies, Professor of Gender & Women's Studies), Salar Mameni (Core Faculty Member of Iranian & Persianate Studies, Associate Profesor of Ethnic Studies), Lela Mire (Ph.D. Student in Performance Studies), Roshanak Kheshti (Professor and Head Graudate Advisor of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies), Mazyar Loftalian (Adjust Professor of Critical Studies at CCA), and Samera Esmeir (Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Center for Middle Eastern Studies Senior Research Scholar).
